V-Twin Engine-

This little "Harley-style" engine has two con rods on a single throw. Block looks like a "dog house" and is built up from 3/8 Aluminum plate. Jugs are 1-1/2 black iron plumbing pipe, bored smooth. Two flywheels...each one operates a valve (similar to "McCabe's Runner" engine but uses model airplane rod-ends). Heads and pistons are aluminum. Split "Tee" air supply. Will usually self start. Runs quite slow with a neat throbbing sound (like a real H-D). Peak RPM (using our strobe) is only about 1000 @ 40 psi. Thanks to our student builder: Mike A. (second year Mech-Tech student)
